For over 66 years, the award-winning Dallas (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has provided service and program initiatives that have positively impacted the North Texas community.

 

The work of our chapter is rooted in our organization’s mission:  “Friends transforming communities through service.”  As friends, we are committed to enriching the lives of our communities through innovative programming and partnerships within our five facets:  Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, Health and Human Services.

 

Our signature program, the STEAM Academy, launched in 2012, provides equitable access and opportunities for middle and high school girls of color in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.  Understanding the need to expose and introduce our scholars to the pursuits of professional women in the STEAM field, the Women Who STEAM Awards Luncheon was launched.  This annual event highlights the achievements and accomplishments of barrier breaking women in their respective fields.   Through our dedication to transformative service, we have also awarded scholarships each year since 1975, thus encouraging college attendance for high school seniors.   

 

The Links, Incorporated Core Values are representative and foundational to who we are:  friendship, integrity, honesty, service, commitment, family relationships, courage, respect for self and others, legacy, confidentiality, responsibility and accountability.
